I think this is already in the making, but just to make sure there’s a feature request on it (I didn’t find any existing). It can be difficult to distinguish list-items from each other when they’re collapsed. It can also be difficult to reorder them without having them collapsed, if the list-item has a lot of content. So would be very nice to be able to manipulate the title of a list-item based on a field within it (i.e. setting a variable into the title).
Yes, we are aware of this issue and planning to implement it. In the first batch of our improvements to item-sets (coming in version 6.13 to the theaters near you) we will show value from the first editable field in the item-set in its header. Later on you will be able to manage the header title yourself.
