Enonic CMS 4.7.14 has been released

This release is a bugfix release with 4 improvements and 5 bug fixes to the existing functionality.

During development of this release, we found a minor security hole in the formbuilder.xsl file of our cms-packages template kit, which many of our customers use. The only way of fixing this is to remove three lines of code from formbuilder.xsl. This deviation applies to all versions of Enonic CMS 4.7.x, so even if you do not plan to upgrade to 4.7.14, we recommend fixing this. Read more about it in our upgrade notes: https://enonic.com/docs/4.7/4.7.14-upgrade-notes.html

Other highlights:

  • There is a new checkbox on shortcut menuitems which allows the developer to choose whether URL parameters should be included in the result URL when redirecting to the URL.
  • A new setting in site-.properties, cms.site.deviceClassification.cache, has been added. Setting this to false, turns off caching on device classification for the site, to allow for easier testing. Should not be used in a production environment.

At Enonic, we expect this to be the final release of Enonic CMS. We will continue to support Enonic CMS for several years, but only major bugs will be fixed from now on. All our CMS-customers are encouraged to take a look at our new product, Enonic XP.
