Just undocumented or by design?
It would be useful to have access to when programming controllers or libraries. For instance I could make a image library which only uses placeholders in edit mode.

It’s not implemented in the portal lib. I don’t see any reason why it wasn’t, I think this was just forgotten.

Maybe an image library or similar would be useful?
