Last week at Enonic - 2017, week 20

Last Week

One day late, hope I didn’t keep you on your toes! Had some minor bugs with my health, they’ve been patched now and I’m good to go again!

Last week we had one day off, 17th of May, to celebrate our constitution. But we also had time to do some work in between the celebrations.

Admin localization is now finished and ready for translation files. These changes are in our latest code on Github and set to launch with 6.11. Which language do you look forward to the most to be using Content Studio in?

Our bi-weekly PAB was held, and we set out our plans for the rest of Q2 and for the coming Q3. PAB is a meeting in which we discuss features, and plan them for our releases. Read the meeting notes here in the forum.

Google IO was held and of course AI (Artificial Intelligence) and PWA (Progressive Web Apps) made a huge appearance. See the state of the union speech on Youtube.

Speaking of PWA, not only Google is pushing this. Everyone are! (except Apple … so far). Check out these slides from Microsoft and what they are doing with PWA.

Enonic XP Releases

New releases

No new releases of XP last week. However, today we released 6.10.3 that fixes four bugs, mainly related to the HtmlArea field. Check it out on Github or read the release notes here in the forum. Please update!

Next XP

Next version of Enonic XP will be 6.11, read more about it here in our forums.

Enonic Market

The Market grows every week. Here’s our pick of last weeks new and updated apps, libs, and starters, to have a closer look at.

New apps

Built by Gustaf Ekeberg, the LiveReload app 1.0.1 helps you develop faster by automatically reloading the browser window when you save your code!

Updated apps

Version 2.0.0 of the Data Toolbox app was released, with enhancements to Material design, content/node import report, and help dialogs.

Auth0 ID Provider released 1.0.1 that fixes some SSO issues and adds help texts making configuration easier.

The Sitemap.xml generator version 1.1.0 got released containing multiple improvements, with help from @nerdegutt. Highlights are that it now automatically adds the Site content to each sitemap.xml, it also lets users control the <priority> field per content type, it only fetches content for the site it is placed on even if other sites uses the same content type, and - if present - it will check the setting in SEO Meta Field app’s robots config and skip listing those pages!
