So, last week was a busy week, and ended on a high note as we had one of our quarterly hackathons. This time it resulted in many potential libs and apps, three of those became polished enough to be released on our Market. Say welcome to a library for generating QR-codes, a modest “add custom CSS to your site” app, and an attachment viewer app (for previewing PDFs and other files on your site). Read more in the Market-section.
Last week the insurance company Gouda.no launched on XP. Congratulations to the team!
Speaking of customer projects, roughly a year ago we launched a microsite called Mindful Monsters for Scope in UK. This organization helps disabled people, so it feels great that this project that started out as a smaller “let’s try do build something cool on XP” managed to push close to 500 000 GBP in subscriptions its first year, and now aiming even higher for the second year.
In the world of XP 6.x, we released 6.15.5 last week. It fixes a couple of bugs so upgrading is recommended.
On the 7.0-front we started up a full OWASP security test that will run for a few weeks and cover not only the platform itself but also some popular apps and libs. This is one of many important steps for us before release. We still have a long way to go, but the aim is to get 7.0 out in time for Christmas.
Our latest release is Enonic XP 6.15.5, new last week!
Enonic Market had these updates last week:
Custom CSS 1.0.0 - New app: Add a chunk of custom CSS to your site directly from the admin interface.
QR Code Library 1.0.0 - New lib: Generate QR-codes from your apps using this library.
Attachment viewer 1.0.0 - New app: Enonic XP app to view attachments in the browser.
Http Client Lib 1.0.4 + 1.0.3 - Fixed issue with unclosed response body. + added cookies to response, option to avoid following redirects.
Office League 1.5.4 - Text-to-speech support for game messages/comments.
