Last week at Enonic - 2018, week 47

Last Week

Need developer training for your staff or hired team? Make sure to get them onboard the Enonic developer training program, next training: tomorrow and Wednesday!

Last week saw the dawn of a total of 5 new websites developed by Bouvet for Millum. Swedish, Norwegian and English websites for Millum, as well as two other Millum brands - Icio and Horecamarket.

We held our web editor and content meetup last week. Slightly over 60 participants gathered in our offices here in Oslo and listened to Gjensidige talk about how they built their entire design system in XP, how Vålerenga soccer club attracts more visitors to their website (running XP), and the web manager at Norsk Toppfotball showed everyone how they planned, launched and maintains 40 similar but still individual websites in XP.

7.0 is still being worked on. As mentioned earlier the focus is to make necessary changes in the backend of the product, mostly developers will notice and benefit from these changes. The JSON structure of each page will change and become more flat in 7.0, we’re also working on improving the way we store and handle versioning (something that we’ll also introduce APIs for). Currently it looks like we’ll have a feature freeze before Christmas, meaning the release will happen early in 2019. Since many things changes in the inner workings of XP, we need to test this release carefully.

By the way, we’re still on the hunt for those Java-developers - one senior and one regular. Read more about the positions on our career-page.
