Last week saw 8 more developers getting trained in the fine arts of Enonic XP-development. How many of these will stand the test of certification? We wish them all the best of luck. Interested in getting certified? Check our new certification pages. This actually concludes all developer training for 2018, next round of training starts in February, be sure to sign up before all the seats fill up!
We added yet another case study on our website last week. This time we talked about how Norway Post rebuilt their search-engine in XP to not only save time and money, but also make the experience better for all their users.
Our Market saw two releases, one is a brand new app from Bouvet that let’s you do link checking on your entire website (even websites that are only open to internal traffic, like an intranet), the other a full refactoring of the Attachment Viewer app that let’s you preview many common files from within Content Studio. Scroll down to the Market-section for more information!
Ever wanted to improve the SEO of your website, and at the same time try an Enonic App from our Market, but wasn’t sure how to do it? We just recently posted a fine guide about our SEO app, with animated gifs showcasing exactly what you should do to get started!
From the world of 7.0 I can give you a few interesting details on the types of changes we’re working on for developers. The good old “Response Filters” will be renamed to Response Processor, and at the same time it will be able to also handle requests! This is somethign developer’s been wishing for for a long time and we can’t wait until we release 7.0 and can see how you use it. Another change is the request object and the property
mode, it used to have three modes, but we’ll introduce a fourth one -
inline - for signaling that your controllers are running in the right-hand side preview window in Content Studio (with the content grid on the left side).
Our latest release is Enonic XP 6.15.5!
Enonic Market had these updates last week:
LinkChecker 1.0.0 - This app adds a widget to Content Studio. The widget lets you check all your content for broken links in the rich text editor, both internal, and external (URLs).
Attachment Viewer 2.0.0 - Refactor the app (drop template-dependancy), and support ‘base:unstructured’ content type.
Here’s some interesting articles that surfaced last week, related to the web in general (not only development).
