H2 2026

Remote schema deployment

For improved Front-end DevEx, schema can now be deployed using Enonic CLI. Manage and deploy Content Schemas from your preferred code base, including CI/CD.

Enonic developers may still deploy schemas via Enonic apps ofc.

Workflow MK2

This is an improvement of Content Studio’s current publishing wizard and Issue system. It will provide the following improvements:

  • New approach to Scheduled publishing - including handling of modified items
  • Improved listing, filtering and labeling of issues
  • Improved integration with publishing wizard and content checks
  • Dedicated Issues menu widget

MCP and AI

The next step of Enonics AI integration involve an extensible MCP API, which will be directly available for the Juke AI Chat.

Juke (and other MCP clients) may perform operations via an industry standard interface, and align with the existing pluggbility of Enonic XP - meaning other applications can extend the tools and capabilities for interacting with XP. Communication with the MCP server will build on XP’s standard IAM and authentication system for secure and pluggable communication.

We will update this issue with expected API features when closer to implementation

Autosave

Improved Editor Experience with automatic saving of changes.

Beyond 2026

New Content Studio navigation

For improved Editorial experience we will improve the main Content Studio navigation to provide a more intuitive search oriented interface for browsing and managing your content, providing the following main menu items

  • All content
  • Browse tree
  • Favorites
  • Recent items

Additionally, the Content Studio will support developer-defined views, allowing you to pre-define content search results and views for specific and common use-cases.

Assign to Juke

Our Next step in the world of AI involves assigning issues to Juke, which will work on tasks in agent mode, and provide verifiable changes to your content - you new digital colleague.

Blocks

Introducing a new base content type (base:block) which can be used to create and manage content inline, or as individuall content items. This concept brings the best from our current optionsets and page components into a single intuitive solution.

That’s all folks! :clapper:
