Hi everyone :smile:
Our team is hard at work, bringing new features and fixes to y’all.

The new self-service cloud is now available for trials and testing on https://cloud.enonic.com. It is continuously getting new updates - preparing it for full production use. Also, we just released version 1.5 of our search platform - including improvements like a REST-based injection API.

Here is the latest update of our roadmap:

Enonic XP:

Planned for XP 7.8

Up next

  • Typescript definitions in core
  • Query DSL in node/content API
  • Custom selector - add more context
  • Custom selector - Support storing other value types than string
  • Compile time schema validation
  • contentLib getXdata API
  • Tasks - get list of all available tasks via API

  • Page editor with default view (works without any code)

What does this mean?

A feature that I know has been asked for a lot – is that the current state of the content (which is not saved yet) can be passed to the service when using the custom selector.

And in this way we can filter lists in custom selectors based on previous custom selectors.

I think I could create really nice experiences for content creators with this kind of functionality. :slight_smile:

Hey Thomas. I have some thoughts on improvements I could want in XP8 (needing a major bump).

If you guys are interested in some feedback from the developer community, may I suggest you (@tsi) start a thread here on this forum – where you ask what changes the dev community wants in XP8.

You just might get some good ideas that you can bring into your planning :slight_smile:
